Trip Synopsis

I've been an Atlanta Braves fan for as long as I can remember and so I've always wanted to go to one of their games. Well, I've never been in a situation where I could afford to take a trip to Atlanta, until this past summer.

During a trip to the Tetons with some friends I passingly made a comment to them all that I'd love to go see a game but I said I didn't know anyone else who was interested in the Braves enough to make the trip. To my surprise one of the girls in the group, Heather, piped up that she'd love to head back to Atlanta and see a game IF I would stay an extra day and drive to Gastonia, North Carolina so she could see her family. Sounded fair to me so the planning began and an awesome trip ensued.

Honestly this was the best vacation I had/have ever been on, I mean how could it not be?

#1 I got to see my favorite baseball team play two games

#2 I was with a pretty darn cute girl

#3 Everything we did was on our timeline (it's much easier deciding on what to do and where to go when there are only two of you)

Overall, it was a great trip, and the start of an even better relationship :)

Atlanta Braves

What a dream come true. Went to 2 games, the first game we sat on the second row in centerfield, the second game we sat on the second row down the third baseline. Except for the Braves losing both games it was awesome.

Six Flags Over Georgia

A decent amusement park. Heather and I both were a little worried that we might "have outgrown" the whole crazy fast and wild ride age but we were wrong. I did enjoy the smoother rides, however, over the "give me whiplash" rides. This is a good park with plenty of solid rides.

Linville Falls

Beautiful falls in North Carolina. Other than the fact that I was being taken to the "mountains" even though I couldn't see them are we were supposedly a few minutes away, it was a beautiful visit (being from Utah I guess I expected to suddenly "arrive" at the mountains but it was so much more gradual than I was ready for). The forest was amazing and the scenery was incredible.

Other Random Things

During our stay in Atlanta we went and visited the "Underground". There is quite a bit of history behind that place but I'm not going to get into it, if you want to find out about it, look it up.

I had my first real BBQ sandwich while on the trip. It was good, I'm not sure I'd sell my soul for it like another person that was with me (hmmmm there was only one other person with me on the trip so you can probably figure out who that was) but it was solid sandwich.
